Spring

One thing that has stuck with me for years was when my professor in college wrote on my senior art project "Your photos are soft. Please fix your photos."

It struck such a nerve, and actually really annoyed me. I love photography, but I'm never been one of those photographers that is obsessed with making everything tack-sharp all the time. But now, I'm actually kind of amused at my professor's comment.

Find your style & make it work for you. The photo below would be considered "soft" according to that professor, but it doesn't make me love it less
